The nearby village of Carrigart will serve your grocery shopping needs. For your holiday souvenirs visit 'Joys of Carrigart' specialising in giftware and Irish crafts. The Carrigart Hotel has a nice relaxed ambiance where you can enjoy a sumptous meal and wash it down with your favourite tipple.
Golfing:
Donegal is fortunate to have 15 links courses, 2 of which are located in close proximity to the Holiday Home. Rosapenna Golf Course (2 courses) 18 Hole is 3 km away and St. Patrick's Golf Club (72 & 73 Par courses) 18 Hole is 1 km from the Holiday Home, both of which enjoys magnificent views of Sheephaven Bay (green fees Euro 30).
Beach:
Tra Mor Beach is located 3 km away and boasts miles of golden sand.
The Atlantic Drive:
Starting your journey in Downings (3 km from Holiday Home) this impressive drive (approx length 15 km) encapsulate all the beauty and ruggedness of the north west coastline.
Horseriding:

Watersports:
If you're a water enthusiast well look no further. With the atlantic waves splashing on the golden beaches, the local beach of Tra Mor is the place for you where Kitesurfing, Surfing, Bodyboarding and much more can be seen in action. The Adventure Centre in Gartan, Letterkenny (30 mins drive) offers activities for individuals and groups.
Mountain Climbing:
Both Muckish and Errigal offer keen mountain climbers an enjoyable challenge. Both are within a half hour drive from the Holiday Home.
Glenveagh National Park (30 mins drive) lies in the heart of the Derryveagh Mountains. It is a remote and huntingly beautiful wilderness of rugged mountains and pristine lakes. It is home to many plants and animals and is famous for it's fine herd of red deer. More recently, the reintroduction of the golden eagle has proved a huge attraction. A fine victorian castle surrounded by beautiful gardens is well worth a visit.
